ANTICIPATED 2008 WATERING RESTRICTIONS
Following is information regarding the anticipated 2008 watering restrictions:
The District is asking every user to continue to be mindful and reduce their water usage. Ways that you might do this are to cut down your zone times, eliminate a day of watering, and water in the evening or early morning. The District will also be cutting back irrigation of the open space and parks, so expect to see dry and brown areas throughout the community. Please keep in mind that due to the vast amount of area that the District irrigates, you will see watering taking place during the day - please do not take this as permission for you to do the same. It is the only way the District can get through the volume of zone areas that need to be watered. Most of the District's open space areas are watered with treated effluent water which does not come from the potable water system and does not add to the demand on the aquifer.
The District may notify excessive users to cut back on their consumption. The Districts current water sources are a finite resource and we all need to be very considerate of its use. If the summer presents severe drought conditions, the District may consider rate increases for excessive users. Please see below for information on water conservation.
If you have any questions, please call the District Office at 303-858-9909. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
- No outdoor watering before April 15th or after October 15th.
- Weekly Watering Schedule:

- Addresses ending with an odd number (i.e. 10115) may water on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
- No watering is permissible on Wednesday.
- Watering on your assigned days may take place between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m. at the beginning of your assigned day and 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at the end of your assigned day. Fifteen minutes per watering station is considered sufficient by landscape experts. There are no restrictions on the use of drip irrigation systems. Similarly, there are no restrictions for hand watering of flowers.
- New lawns will have a three-week grace period with no restrictions (please notify our office, 303-858-9909, when your new lawn is installed); however, we strongly recommend that any lawn installation or landscape improvements be scheduled after Labor Day.
